Prices of Kazakhstan oil and gas producers increased significantly in 2017

On average, producer prices increased by 17.6% in 2017, the press service of the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

Prices in 2017 for natural gas increased significantly by 51.7% and for oil 31.6%. Since the beginning of last year, fuel oil has risen in price by 38.8%, propane and butane liquefied by 18.8%, metal ore by 15.8%, diesel fuel by 14.8%, coal by 10.3%, gasoline by 9.4%, the press service of the committee reported.

The Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan noted an increase in prices for zinc by 23.7%, copper by 19.7%, aluminum by 12.7%, ferroalloys by 9.8%, lead by 9.5%, ferrous metals by 2%.

Kazakhstan’s producers also increased the cost of dairy products by 9.2%, cattle meat by 6.6%, tea by 5.4%, rice by 3.7%, bread by 2.2%, fish by 2.1%, macaroni products by 1.4%. A decrease in prices for products was noted for cereals by 28.5%, sugar by 24.3%, rye flour by 8.3%, wheat by 3%, poultry by 6.9%, vegetable oil by 6.7% and margarine by 5.7%.

In the mining industry, overall prices rose by 27.2%, and in processing by 8.3%. Industrial products went up by 18.8%, industrial services by 6.9%.

Earlier it was reported that food prices in December 2017 compared to December 2016 increased by 6.5%, for non-food products by 8.9%, paid services by 5.9%.
